San Remo Hotel guests enjoy the Victorian charm and comfort of sixty-two uniquely decorated cozy rooms. Brass, iron, oak, maple, pine or wicker furniture and pedestal sinks recall turn-of-the-century San Francisco. Each room is separate and private. Most rooms have one full size bed with or without a sink. Rooms with two twin beds are also available. For three people, rooms have one full size bed and one twin bed.
Old West Inn Meets European Pensione . . .
All rooms share bath facilities reminiscent of Old West inns and European pensiones. Bath and showers are found in four convenient locations just down the hall from the bedrooms. Accommodations include daily housekeeping in the room rate. We always have on site staff to help you.
Very helpful & friendly staff. I love all the nooks and crannies of this place. So much character, . .
the Penthouse is beyond comprehension, it's so pretty and wonderful. North Beach is just the greatest neighborhood!

The San Remo has a vibe all it’s own.
I stayed at the San Remo for 4 nights. The location is great and you can't beat the value! . .
It is within walking distance to the Warf and the Powell & Mason cable car line. Just a bit further away but still a very walkable distance are Pier 39 and Ghirardelli Square. The San Remo has a vibe all it's own. It's very inviting and was immaculately clean!
The location cannot be beat!
We stayed here for two nights over Veterans Day weekend. The location cannot be beat. . . . We parked the car and walked or rode the public transportation to see the sights.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was great not having a TV, phone or clock in the room. I could truly relax for our entire stay. We had two rooms, one single and one double. The double room was small with both beds taking up most of the space, but the single bed room was cozy.
I was a little concerned about the shared bath facilities prior to arriving, but that concern was baseless. There was no problem at all...I did not have to wait at any time to use the facilities. I will definitely stay here for my future visits to San Francisco.
