San Francisco Hotel Lodging : Penthouse Suite

San Francisco accommodations that aren’t just a place to stay, they are an experience . . .

The San Remo Hotel - San Francisco Hotel Lodging Penthouse Suite

A Penthouse Suite that is more like home . . . just nicer, and with a great view!

The San Remo Hotel rooftop Penthouse, offering panoramic views of North Beach, is the perfect San Francisco getaway for two. The room has a comfortable queen sized brass bed, a mini claw foot bathtub, antiques, stained glass windows and other Victorian era features.

San Francisco’s world famous skyline awaits guests: from the Art Deco-inspired Coit Tower atop Telegraph Hill to the strikingly modern Transamerica Pyramid – visible a mile away on Columbus Avenue and framed in the foreground by the Gothic spires of Saints Peter and Paul Church at Washington Square. Take in the architectural vista and then watch the evening fog roll in.

You’ll be serenaded by the ringing tones of cable car bells and the low-pitched foghorns at Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. And depending on the time of year, you may hear the city’s beloved sea lions barking from their wildlife sanctuary dock at Pier 39.

Wake up to in-room coffee or tea and the soothing natural scent of Sandalwood soap. Greet the day by stepping outside to watch the fog dissolve.

WONDERFUL Hotel with very helpful staff. Rooms are tiny but they are absolutely charming and clean. Great location to explore the city.

This hotel was a great price considering its location.
If you want to stay at a place that's quirky and fun and definitely not your mainstay type hotel then this is it. My son and I stayed for 2 nights in a room with 2 twin beds and a sink. I would definitely recommend booking a room with a sink. Also, request a room with an open window looking onto Water Street as I did. Some of the rooms have their windows facing into the corridors of the hotel.
The beds were really comfortable and although the building isn't insulated against noise, if you wear earplugs which are provided, you won't hear anything.
My son and I just travelled with carry on luggage so space wasn't an issue for us; however, if you travel with suitcases, space will be tight for you.
The bathrooms and showers are shared, but didn't have to wait and they were very clean.
The ceiling fan in our room kept our room very cool.
Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz Landing (pier 33) was less than a 10 min walk. The Powell and Mason Streets cable car is just a block away as is the crooked street, Lombard Avenue.
I would stay here again on my next visit. Hope this was helpful.

My family and I, stayed at your hotel from 7/30 to 8/3 in rooms 27, 28 and 70. We had a very nice experience. The location is excellent, near the cable car station and fisherman wharf. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed free coffee, tea, chocolate, water etc... Rooms are small and charming, clean and quiet. Showers are clean. We had a happy time during our stay : a charming hotel and friendly staff. I recommend it.

We were attending a wedding over the weekend and had the pleasure of staying in the St Remo Hotel. Both my wife and I were enthralled with the beauty, warmth and charm of this jewel. Our accommodations were perfect. Everyone we met were friendly and welcoming. The staff offer excellent care and attention to detail. We will recommend the St Remo to our friends. Thank you.

We even caught a glimpse of the parrots and had a welcome visit from a purple hummingbird.
