Pleasantly Impressed! I would like to start by saying that I am an English woman the wrong side of 55 so I will admit to being set in my ways. I booked this hotel after reading many reviews but I was still concerned about the idea of sharing toilets and showers as this has been outside my general experience of hotels which have all been en suite. But I needn’t have worried, the whole experience was fabulous.

It is now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and offers tours of the prison and views of the lighthouse. It is a good place to view gardens, tide pools, bird colonies the bay.
Golden Gate State Park
Golden Gate Park is a roughly 1/2 mile-by-four mile urban oasis, with windmills, bison, museums, lakes and a carousel hidden among its charms. While the park is free to visit during the day, popular attractions charge admission, such as deYoung Museum, California Academy of Sciences and Conservatory of Flowers.
Fisherman’s Warf
