HOTEL Reservation Rules & Regulations

This web page provides a quick reference to all the San Remo Hotel reservation rules.

DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY: At the time of booking the first night’s rent with tax will be charged as an advance deposit, refundable if your reservation is cancelled by 24-hours before the date of arrival (by 72-hours before for Penthouse reservations). Reservations cancelled the same day of arrival, or that are no-shows, cannot be refunded.
RESTROOMS & SHOWERS: We are a Victorian Italianate pension – an historic hotel with restrooms and showers down the hall from the rooms, with the exception of The Penthouse. There are two locations on each floor, and if one is occupied you may use any other that is available. Featuring a claw-foot bathtub and old-fashioned pull-chain toilets, these unique “water closets” are cleaned daily and private once in use.
FAMILY SUITES: We have a small number of rooms with doors adjoining to other rooms allowing them to be converted into a family suite. If you have a family of 5 or less, please inquire by email, calling us, or in the comment field of your reservation to learn more about how we can secure one of these suites for your family.
FRONT DESK HOURS: The Front Desk is open between the hours of 8 am – 10 pm Pacific, and 11 pm Friday and Saturday nights. Check-in begins at 2 pm. Please be sure to arrive before the Front Desk closes. If you are unable to arrive within these hours, please give us a call to make possible arrangements with the clerk on duty.
PARKING: Parking is available for $18 plus tax per day. To check-in you may park in our white zone along the front of the hotel for approximately 15 – 20 minutes while you settle in. We will then show you where to park your car.

The San Remo Hotel is a non-smoking establishment. A $200 fee will be assessed for smoking in your room.

    My family and I, stayed at your hotel from 7/30 to 8/3 in rooms 27, 28 and 70. We had a very nice experience. The location is excellent, near the cable car station and fisherman wharf. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed free coffee, tea, chocolate, water etc... Rooms are small and charming, clean and quiet. Showers are clean. We had a happy time during our stay : a charming hotel and friendly staff. I recommend it.

    The staff was always helpful and kind. Free coffee and liquorice. Great jazz coming from the open windows of the italian place downstairs. Though the bathrooms and showers are shared, availability was never an issue.
