Off-Hours Activities

The hotel ambience may be laid back, but deep inside the seemingly effortless day-to-day management you’ll find a dynamo at work. Kenley Gaffke brings the same dedication to guest service that he invests in his disciplined training regimen for competitive running. So if you think he seems to be moving quickly, multitasking at top speed, it’s not your imagination. Currently training for the San Francisco Marathon, Kenley powered through 28 races last year, racking up 14 top-ten overall finishes, and he placed in the top six percent at this year’s Boston Marathon.

Along with San Remo co-workers Brian Vanderpol and Tim Armstrong, Kenley can be seen in the film “Etienne”, an award-winning entry at the CineVegas Film Festival in Las Vegas and selected for the United Film Festival at the Roxie Theatre in San Francisco. The film includes scenes shot inside the San Remo Hotel.
